Types Of Bathtubs

There are many different types of bathtubs that you are able to choose from. Each one are unique in their own way and vary in the design and style that they can be found in.

Standard Bathtubs

These can be found in the majority of homes. One of the biggest advantages to using these bathtubs is that they are the most affordable and the easiest to install and find a place for in your bathroom. Most of them are made using acrylic and come in white and off white. People enjoy them not only because they are affordable – but also because they are the easiest to maintain. The only downside to them is that they can be quite small and do not provide much room for you to relax when trying to take a bath.

Claw foot Bathtubs

These are an elegant type of bathtub and will cost you more money then the standard bathtubs. They can be found in a variety of bathtub designs that include; cast iron, free standing, and acrylic. Besides being very expensive these are more difficult to install because they are not built into the wall like the standard bathtubs. However, they help to create a very elegant and peaceful design for your bathroom.

Whirlpool Bathtubs

These are becoming more and more popular in many of the higher end homes. These can be expensive depending on how large and powerful you want them to be. These machines use powerful jets to create a whirlpool effect in your bathtub. When taking a bath you will have more than enough room to relax your whole body. The downside to them is that they can be harder to clean.

Walk-In Bathtubs

Walk-in bathtubs are often made using high quality fiberglass, making them some of the most expensive tubs on the market. They are very wide and tall making it easy for people to simply open the door on the side and walk in rather than stepping over the edge. This spacious bathtub is more ideal for seniors and anyone who has trouble bending over. On the inside of the tub there is a safety bar and a bench for people to sit safely on.
